DOWNTOWN CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - It's been 11 months and 11 games since the Browns have won and some Browns fans believe Sunday was the beginning of a turnaround.
The team finally gave fans something to dance and shout about. Some fans leaving the stadium with smiles on their faces believe they have number 23, Joe Haden, to thank for it.
"It's great to see Joe back. It's hard to believe one person made that big of a difference on defense," said Josh Wheeler.
Joe Haden was just as excited about the win himself. "Oh my goodness, it was like a big weight off of everybody's shoulders. It felt like we won the Super Bowl, honestly. I mean, everybody's just excited. You know, once you get the first one out of the way, I feel like it becomes a lot easier and people want to get used to this feeling. I'm just so happy that it was the game that I came back and we just made it happen."
Others are happy to see Trent Richardson excel.
"I didn't like the benching in the second half but he came out strong in the first," said Pat Hodson.
"Trent Richardson, his right side, his rib area, it's being evaluated. I don't have enough information right now to give you anything other than we're just evaluating it, so we'll see," said Browns Coach Pat Shurmur. "Montario Hardesty steps in with Trent Richardson being in and out and was very productive."
In addition to breaking their 11 game NFL losing streak, Sunday's win also breaks a 12 game losing streak in their division. The Browns VS. Bengals game is also the last game under the Randy Lerner era, Jimmy Haslam officially takes over on Tuesday.
