AKRON, OH (WOIO) - Three people arrested for a burglary in Akron over the weekend.
It happened around 5 p.m. Saturday evening in the 800 block of Bellevue Avenue.
Police say the suspects forced open a northside rear kitchen window to gain access to the house. As officers arrived, they observed a black, 2005 Cadillac Escalade in the driveway. A woman was in the driver seat and two men had just walked down the driveway and got into the front and rear passenger seats.
When officers approached the SUV, the men tried to run from the vehicle. One man was apprehended immediately, the other man was apprehended following a brief foot chase.
Officers recovered a loaded .45 caliber handgun in the woman's purse, two televisions, a laptop computer and tablet PC inside of the vehicle.
Officers arrested Robert C. Lightner, 41, of 21st Street NW in Canton, Ohio; Telly R. Watson, 37, of 3rd Street SW in Canton; and Christina M. Bour, 27, of 9th Street NW in Canton. Watson and Bour were charged with Aggravated Burglary. Lightner was charged with Aggravated Burglary, carrying a Concealed Weapon, Weapons under Disability, Obstructing Official Business and Possession of Criminal Tools. They were booked into the Summit County Jail.
