BAY VILLAGE, OH (WOIO) - Police have now released a composite sketch of the suspect who allegedly approached a 10-year-old girl Monday afternoon.
It happened around 3:10 p-m in the area of Walmar and Carlton. Bay Village Officers say the victim was able to give a good description of the suspect and help the artist with the composite sketch. The suspect is approximately 50 years old, with wavy grey or white hair, and acne scars on his face. He was wearing blue jeans (older/faded), a red polo-style shirt, a larger gold watch, and round wire rim glasses.
The male never exited his vehicle, nor did he threatened the victim, but was "leering" at the young girl and said to her "Hi, get in".
The vehicle followed the victim a short distance before quickly leaving the area, going south on Walmar. The vehicle was described as a light blue Dodge Caravan with tinted rear windows. (A photo is included that closes matches that of the suspect vehicle)
Bay Village police say there have been at least five attempted abductions in the last five months; however, information developed so far in this investigation indicates this latest incident is not related to the other public indecency incidents.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Bay Village Police Department at 440-871-1234.
