GEAUGA COUNTY, OH (WOIO) -

On June 29th, Geauga Humane Society rescued sixteen cats in Geauga County from horrifying living conditions. The cats were confined to a dangerously hot garage, entirely soiled in feces and waste.

"These cats are victims of trauma, and will need kind, patient individuals to adopt and work with them, similar to the rescued shepherds. These cats deserve no less help than what was, and is still being offered to the shepherds." Reported Rescue Village staff member, Wendy Grellinger last July.

Thanks to Rescue Village staff, volunteers and public support, Geauga Humane Society is excited to have been able to place eight of these cats into loving homes, yet seven remain in the shelter, still waiting to get adopted. You can be a part of this rescue by giving a home to one of these soft and sweet felines.

Just ask for Zinnie, Emmett, Bongo, Abernathy, Serendipity, Pebbles or Flower! For questions, please contact Cat Behaviorist Wendy Grellinger at 440.338.4819 ext. 42.
