Cleveland (WOIO) - Indians first baseman/left fielder Matt LaPorta had arthroscopic surgery on his left hip on Thursday.
The surgery was to repair damaged tissue of his left hip joint.
LaPorta will be sidelined for the next three-to-four months, but is expected to be ready by March of next year.
LaPorta hit .241 with one homer in only 58 at-bats for the Indians this season.
