Update: missing man found in North Olmsted

OHIO (WOIO) - The statewide alert issued for a missing North Olmsted man has been cancelled.

James Vanvleet, 82, was found driving around North Olmsted early Tuesday morning. Police say he is safe and is now resting at home.

Mr. Vanvleet was last heard from at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. He was supposed to pick up his wife at the Cleveland Hopkins airport around 4:30 p.m. but never showed.

Police say he suffers from Alzheimer's disease.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of a missing person is asked to call 9-1-1, (866) 693-9171, or your local law enforcement agency.
