19 Action News has uncovered how Berea Police cracked a huge case involving three Baldwin Wallace University students who were busted for running a drug lab.
Court documents reveal a chemistry professor saw a former student of his looking in a campus lab after his master key to the lab disappeared.
Investigators were able to check phone records for the student revealing text messages that showed plans to break into a lab with black clothing.
Hours later campus security caught a man and woman in one of the chemistry labs wearing ski masks. The documents show they ran off, leaving behind a shopping list for chemicals
Berea Police found the drug ecstasy being made at a makeshift lab just off campus. Police also believe it had been cooked on campus inside Findley Hall and in Madison and Geneva-on-theLlake.
The students are also suspected of dealing hallucinogenic mushrooms, marijuana and the prescription drug Adderall.
All three students are out of jail on bond. All have different attorneys as they fight the charges.
