Ohio State and Oregon have agreed to a home-and-home football for 2020 and 2021.
The Buckeyes announced the future series, which will involve the Buckeyes traveling on Sept. 12, 2020, to Eugene, Ore. The Ducks will make a return trip to Ohio Stadium on Sept. 11, 2021. The two schools have not met since the 2010 Rose Bowl, a 26-17 Ohio State win.
"Oregon has developed into one of the premier football programs in the FBS," Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith said in the official release. "We are excited to add them to our future slate of games."
If you thought the Oregon uniforms were spaceship-like now, just imagine what these two teams will be donning 2,920 days into the future. Chip Kelly's offensive play calls will be telepathically transmitted to the quarterback's brain, thanks to a chip installed by Nike.
Ohio State also took the opportunity to announce the completion of its 2016 nonconference schedule with the additions of Tulsa (Sept. 10) and Central Michigan (Sept. 24). The Buckeyes already had agreements in place to host Bowling Green on Sept. 3, 2016, and travel to Norman to play Oklahoma on Sept. 17, 2016.
