A mother called cops after her son and his friend, ages 9 and 10-years-old, where approached and followed by a man in a white van.
Police say the boys were riding their bikes home from Sailorway Middle School when an older white man asked the boys to come to his van. When they refused, the man started to follow them as they biked away.
The suspect is described as a white man in his 60s with a gray mustache. He was wearing a white baseball cap, sunglasses and a white shirt. He was driving a white van with no side windows.
Officers plan to review the school's surveillance to see if the suspect was captured on tape.
Police tell 19 Action News the October 19 attempted abduction mirrors a springtime incident in which a man driving a van tried to lure a 10-year-old girl to his vehicle.
Also, in early June, an older man with facial hair offered a ride to a teenage girl walking home from school. She refused, but the man continued to drive by her. The incident was also witnessed by a bus driver.
