Cleveland (WOIO) - Indians center fielder Grady Sizemore and first baseman Casey Kotchman filed for free agency on Monday, the first day players were able to file.
The players can sign with any team starting at 12:01 AM on Saturday.
Sizemore signed a one-year, $5 million contract last December, but didn't play a game in 2012 because of injuries.
Kotchman signed a one-year, $3 million contract last year and hit .229 with 12 homers and 55 RBI's.
Travis Hafner and Roberto Hernandez can also become free agents on Wednesday if the Indians don't pick up their options for 2013.
Hafner is due $13 million for next year, Hernandez is owed $6 million which makes the chances of the Indians picking up their options slim.
Ubaldo Jimenez also has a club option for $5.75 million due on Wednesday, but because he doesn't have enough time in the majors, he can't become a free agent.
