A downtown Cleveland building evacuated for extreme storm damage late Tuesday morning.

The evacuation happened at the Sterling Building on Euclid Avenue. The building houses CECOMS, Cuyahoga County's emergency 911.

Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald determined the building suffered superficial damage and not structural failure.

Officials said there was no break in CECOMS service, as dispatchers were relocated.
