A downtown Cleveland traffic controller was struck by a vehicle while directing traffic on Tuesday night.
It happened in the area of Ontario and Prospect.
The controller was rushed to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and has since been treated and released from the hospital.
Police say that due to the power outage and many inoperable traffic signals, there are more officers and traffic controllers in busy intersections directing traffic. Police are urging drivers to use extra caution when approaching intersections, as rain and low light conditions can make the controllers difficult to see, even when they are wearing reflective clothing.
