WILLOUGHBY, OH (WOIO) - The constant rain will not be a problem for the high school football playoff games being played on field turf; however, schools like Willoughby South, hosting a game on grass, it was not looking so good.
Willoughby South considered moving their game because of field conditions. But, Friday morning 19 Action News decided to help out! The 19 Action News Chopper spent a couple hours hovering over the South High field.
The chopper acted like a huge hair dryer, drying out the field and making it more than playable for the South/North Royalton game Saturday night.
"You looked at this field yesterday and you thought oh my gosh were going to have to do something. This is a huge help! Just happy we're going to be at our place," says Matt Duffy, South Football coach.
