AKRON, OH (WOIO) - Police say a home invasion Monday evening turned violent. It happened around 8:00 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of Harold Street.
The resident tells police he heard a loud noise on the first floor of his house and was then confronted by two men in his bedroom, one was armed with a handgun.
The suspects demanded money and the drugs. When the resident said he didn't have anything, the suspects took $15.00 from the night stand then made the resident take off his pants.
The suspects then forced the victim into the basement where they tied him to a chair and taped him up. The suspects then poured laundry detergent on the victim and beat him with a pistol and pipe before fleeing.
The resident was transported to a local hospital for his injuries. His injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
The victim's roommate came home and found his lock box missing that contained miscellaneous documents.
The suspects remain on the loose.
