Brooklyn, NY (WOIO) - Andy Varejao threw down a career-high 35 points, and Kyrie Irving added 34, but the one-two punch still wasn't enough, as the Cavaliers fell to the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday, 114-101 at the Barclays Center.
Despite Varejao's 35, and 18 rebounds, the Nets were far more balanced, getting 26 points from Deron Williams, 25 from Joe Johnson, and another 23 from Brook Lopez. The Brooklyn bench also outscored the Cavs' bench, 28-6.
The Cavaliers return from their 6-game, 11-day trip with only one win on the road. They'll get back to work Saturday at the "Q" against the Dallas Mavericks.
