NELSON TOWNSHIP, OH (WOIO) - Portage County Sheriff David Doak says they have arrested the man who seriously injured an 87-year-old woman during a home burglary. It happened around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 13 on State Route 88 in Nelson Township.
Deputies say David Warner, 29, knocked on the door and when Dorothy Bailey answered, he knocked her to the floor, causing her to break her hip.
Warner then pushed his way into the house and took an undisclosed amount of money from Bailey's purse.
David Warner was arrested Thursday and is charged with one count of Aggravated Robbery, a felony of the 1st degree.
Warner is currently being held at the Portage Jail without bond. Warner will be arraigned on Friday, November 16, 2012 at 1:15 PM at the Ravenna Courthouse.
