Record Highs Today, FREE Admission at the Cleveland Zoo, Black Friday Safety

A sunny and very warm Thanksgiving! Temperatures will be above 60 degrees in many spots. The record is 73 degrees so we will be pretty far from that. Then a major cold front will be coming through on Black Friday. The wind really picks up and some light showers are expected mainly the first half of the day.

As our way of saying thanks to the community for another great year of support, admission to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo and The RainForest is FREE for everyone on Thursday, November 22. So no matter how big your holiday herd is it's easy to bring everyone to the Zoo for a visit.  The Zoo will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving and visitors can watch the animals enjoy special holiday treats during enrichment demonstrations throughout the day. There's even complimentary heated transportation through the Zoo on Thanksgiving and all winter long.

Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, is the most anticipated shopping day of the year. It is also one of the most anticipated days of the year for thieves and predators. "Shopping on Black Friday is one of the most highly anticipated activities of the year for many families," said Keli Wilson, mom of three and founder of AlertID. "By keeping the below tips in mind, everyone can help ensure not only a fun shopping experience, but also a safe one."
