MAPLE HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) - Maple Heights Police received numerous 911 calls around 2:30 a.m. Sunday for a male who had been shot and was lying on the ground on Rochelle Drive.
When police arrived, they found a 26-year-old male laying on the ground. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner has identified the victim as Marlon Alexander, Sr. from Cleveland.
Police learned that there had been a party at the location prior to the shooting, and shots were fired after a fight broke out there.
The investigation is ongoing. Police say three people have been taken into custody related to the incident but no charges have been filed at this time.
