BRUNSWICK, OH (WOIO) - A 39-year-old man is dead after a 30-hour standoff in Brunswick.
The Medina County Coroner, Dr. Neil Grabenstetter, confirms to 19 Action News that the man was shot several times by officers. He has yet to be identified pending family notification.
A female victim was also injured, and taken to Metro. No word on her identity or condition at this time.
On Friday, November 30, Brunswick Police received a call regarding a domestic dispute on Jefferson Avenue shortly after 1:30 p.m. After the police arrived at the scene to find the front door damaged and barricaded, a perimeter was then set up.
Officers heard a man and woman arguing inside.
SWAT was activated, and remained on scene until the end of the standoff late Saturday night.
An investigation is underway.
