MAYFIELD HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) - It was a day of deliveries, and a day to say "I do". December 12, 2012, or 12/12/12, is now marked on many calendars.
It's baby, Forever Cierra Cotrice Smith's, birthday, and her mom had a scheduled c-section Wednesday. "Somehow, someway, when they took her out it was twelve-twelve," says Cierra Smith.
That's 12:12 pm. "That was just an extra bonus on top. That's the icing and the sprinkles on top, explains smiling dad, Frank Smith.
Little Forever weighed in at 7 lbs., 7 oz. and is 18 inches long. "I'm excited, I was kind of like shocked like ok. She's special, truly special star I see," says Cierra Smith.
Just down the hall, Emily Grace, also came into the Wednesday morning at 12:25am, weighing 6 lbs, 14 oz., and 20 inches. She was three days early. Her mom Cathy Fender had a natural birth. "I was kind of thinking in my mind I would really like to have her on twelve-twelve-twelve," says Fender.
Fender has a full house, with Emily she and her husband have half a dozen happy kids. "She makes it an even three, three, and three, yep. So we have three boys and three girls," explains Fender.
Plenty of people are getting hitched on this popular numerical day. The Akron Courthouse was busy with couples tying the knot.
So whether they were welcoming their bundle of joy into the world or making a commitment to spend their lives together, 12-12-12 will always be a memorable day.
