Cleveland police and federal agents are looking for a suspect wanted in connection with a ring of crooks that kidnapped an elderly woman then stole from her.
The victim is more than 80-years-old and she was shopping on Cleveland's east side when police say two men kidnapped her then forced her to drive home. Then while there, they stole over $250,000 in bonds and $20,000 in cash.
"I don't know why I wasn't yelling and screaming. I don't know," the victim said.
Investigators with Cleveland's 5th district and the Secret Service are looking for Toni Smith-Drake. They believe she went to several banks in other states and cashed the stolen bonds that were taken from the victim.
Smith-Drake is facing federal charges in this crime.
Court records show investigators have identified another woman involved in this crime as well, but her identity is not known at this time.
19 Action News looked into the back ground of Smith-Drake and found she is already on federal probation for other financial crimes.
Authorities say Smith-Drake is known for disguises as well, she often wears wigs and glasses.
"I would like to see 'em locked up," the victim added. "I know I'll never get my money back. That's impossible" "but get some justice maybe?" "I hope so."
