POSTGAME NOTES

  • Rookie running back Trent Richardson totaled 28 rushing yards with two touchdowns.  His 11 rushing touchdowns, 12 total touchdowns and 72 points this season are all Browns rookie records, while his 897 rushing yards are the second-most by a Browns rookie. Richardson also caught three passes today to increase his seasonal total to 48, which leads the team and is tied for the fifth-most by a Browns rookie.

  • Rookie quarterback Brandon Weeden threw for 244 yards, including a 69-yard touchdown pass to rookie wide receiver Travis Benjamin. The play was third-longest touchdown pass by a Browns rookie. On the season, Weeden's 3,281 passing yards is the seventh-highest figure by a rookie in NFL history.

  • Rookie wide receiver Josh Gordon recorded three receptions for 27 yards. He leads the team with 759 receiving yards on the season, which is the fourth-highest figure by a Browns rookie.

  • Defensive back T.J. Ward recorded his first interception of the season and returned it 37 yards to the Washington 6-yard line, which set up a Richardson touchdown on the next play. It was Ward's first interception since he totaled two at Jacksonville on November 21, 2010.
  • Defensive lineman Juqua Parker notched his team-leading sixth sack of the season. He has recorded a sack in three straight games and is the first Browns to accomplish that feat since Jabaal Sheard last season.
  • Linebacker D'Qwell Jackson recorded a game-high nine tackles to push his seasonal total to 106. This marks his fifth career 100-tackle campaign.             
  • Joshua Cribbs returned seven kickoffs for 191 yards and two punts for 15 yards. He now has the fifth-most kickoff return yards in NFL history. In addition, he became just the sixth player in league history to total 12,000 or more career kick and punt return yards.  Cribbs also added a team-high two special teams tackles today.

  •  Defensive lineman Jabaal Sheard registered his fifth sack of the year. He now has a sack in each of the last two games. 
  • Defensive back Sheldon Brown appeared in his 173rd consecutive regular season game, a figure which currently ranks fifth among all defensive players. In the first quarter Brown deflected a pass that was intercepted by Ward. This is the second week in a row a deflected pass by Brown was intercepted by Cleveland.
  • Left tackle Joe Thomas has started and played in each of the first 94 games of his career, while center Alex Mack has started and played in each of the first 62 games of his career. Neither one of the two have missed an offensive snap during their career.
  • Tight end Jordan Cameron recorded three receptions for 34 yards, including a career-long 28 yard reception.
  • Rookie wide receiver Travis Benjamin's lone reception went for a 69-yard touchdown. He has three total touchdowns (two receiving, one punt return) on the season, including a team-record 93 yard punt return for a score last week.
  • The Browns scored seven points off turnovers today. Cleveland has scored points off turnovers in each of the past four games with a total of 34 points during that span. On the season, the Browns have scored 74 points off turnovers.
