CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) - A Cleveland man has been arrested and charged with animal cruelty.
Raymone Clements is accused of walking a dog into the Forest Hill Park in the early evening hours of November 25, 2012, tying him to a tree and then firing four shots at the dog, striking him at least two times.
Police say Clements left the park, leaving the injured dog tied to a tree.
A woman walking her dog in the park on November 26th, located the injured dog tied to the tree and contacted police who then began their investigation.
Clements has been charged with one count of cruelty to animals, a 2nd degree misdemeanor and one count of discharging a firearm within City limits, a 1st degree misdemeanor.
Clements is currently in the Cleveland Heights Jail where he will be eligible for bond after processing and his initial court appearance.
