Mentor man attacks girlfriend with flashlight

MENTOR, OH (WOIO) - Police arrest a 27-year-old boyfriend for attacking his girlfriend with a flashlight on Christmas.

Officers were called to the couple's mobile home in the 9100 block of Mentor Avenue around 9:55 p.m. on Christmas Day, after a neighbor hearing a woman screaming.

Mentor Police say Christopher Lockamy hit the victim in the face with a 12-inch flashlight. He then took her cell phone away to prevent her from calling police and told her not to leave.

Lockamy's girlfriend had her nose broken in two places.

Lockamy was arraigned in Mentor Municipal Court on Wednesday and charged with felonious assault, and felony counts of abduction and disrupting public services.

Judge John Trebets set Lockamy's bond at $175,000 and ordered him not to contact the victim.
