Richardson: "I had two broken ribs"

Berea, OH (WOIO) - Browns rookie running back Trent Richardson revealed a well-kept secret on Monday, as the team gathered for final meetings before heading home:  he'd been playing with two broken ribs.

Richardson, who seemed tentative at times, and slow to hit the holes in the offensive line, said all in all, he thought he had a pretty good year, rushing for 950 yards while dealing with the rib injury for two months.  He also battled other injuries, including an ankle injury, but insisted his legs were fine.  It was the rib injury that slowed him down, and kept him from reaching the 1,000-yard milestone.
