Akron police investigate three separate shootings

AKRON, OH (WOIO) -

Akron Detectives are investigating three separate shootings that occurred Wednesday night.

The first shooting occurred in the 700 block of South Arlington Street around 6 p.m. The victim, a 28-year-old man, reported he was working at an appliance store when the suspect entered the back door. The suspect took items from a desk, shot the victim in the abdomen and fled. The victim was transported to Akron City Hospital where his injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

The suspect is a black man, 20 - 35 years old, 6'0" - 6'02", 150 - 250 lbs., and was wearing all dark clothing. The victim was wanted out of Medina County for trafficking in Heroin.

The second shooting occurred in the 100 block of Miles Street around 7:30 p.m. The victim, a 43-year-old man, reported three men kicked in his front door and shot him several times before fleeing. The victim was transported to Akron City Hospital where his injuries do not appear to be life threatening. Responding officers observed Marijuana and Heroin in plainview inside of the victim's house. Officers secured the residence and obtained a search warrant. Officers recovered 46 grams of Heroin, 4079 grams of Marijuana and $795 in cash.

The suspects are three black men with no further description. Charges are pending on the victim.

The third shooting occurred in the 2000 block of Manister Court around 8 p.m. The victim, a 20-year-old man, reported two men approached him on the porch. One suspect took the victim's shirt, while the other suspect shot the victim in the leg. The victim was transported to Akron General Medical Center where his injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

The suspects are two black men with no further description.
