BEREA, OH (WOIO) - The Browns signed defensive lineman Kendrick Adams, tight end Dan Gronkowski and defensive back Kent Richardson to reserve/future contracts as free agents for the 2013 season.
Originally signed by Jacksonville as an undrafted free agent on April 30, 2012, Adams spent time on the practice squads of Tampa Bay (three weeks) and Detroit (seven weeks), before spending the final three weeks of the regular season on the Browns' practice squad.
Originally drafted by Detroit in the seventh round (255th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft, Gronkowski has appeared in 21 career games with five starts and has recorded nine receptions for 69 yards. He appeared in five games with the Browns in 2011 after joining the team as a free agent on December 20. Gronkowski spent training camp with the club in 2012 before being waived during final roster cuts.
