Cavaliers center Anderson Varejao underwent successful surgery on Thursday to repair a small split in his vastus medialis muscle.
He was injured on December 18th during the Cavaliers game against the Toronto Raptors.
Varejao is expected to miss the next six to eight weeks.
In other injury news, Cavs guard Daniel Gibson (concussion) and guard/forward C.J. Miles (low back strain) both practiced Thursday and are listed as Probable for Friday night's game in Denver.
