Major League Baseball's owners formally approved Indians Chairman and CEO Paul Dolan as the club's "control person."
Each Major League club's control person is responsible for team operations and for his or her team's compliance with MLB rules.
Dolan joined the Indians in 2000 after his father, Larry Dolan, acquired the team.
He served as vice president and general counsel until 2004, when he was named team president. In 2011, he took on the chairman and CEO roles.
