WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) -

19 Action News was the only ones inside the courtroom as Shaakira Dorsey's alleged killer sat and awaited her fate.

A hearing was held to determine if the 16-year-old girl will be tried as an adult.

Last October the two girls got in a fight here in Warrensville Heights.  Katrina Young saw the fight and witnessed Shaakira Dorsey walking away and then collapsing.

"When I went outside I saw the lighter skinned girl on top of the darker skinned girl.  She was beating her, like beating her in her face and the girl wasn't fighting back," said

In court the state is trying to prove the teen caused Shaakira's heart attack.

The defense team says Shaakira had a pre-existing heart condition and their client is innocent.

"She was so upset.  Her anger elevated her levels and that's what killed her," said the defendant's attorney.
