Ohio State jumps to 11th in latest polls

COLUMBUS, OH (WOIO) - The Ohio State Buckeyes jumped to eleventh place in both the AP and USA Today Coaches polls released on Monday.

The Buckeyes were 15th last week.  They beat the last remaining undefeated team, Michigan, on Sunday, 56-53.

On Saturday, the Buckeyes will face Michigan State in East Lansing.

Louisville was voted number one in both polls, with Indiana, Duke, Kansas and Michigan rounding out the Top Five.

In other OSU news, Deshaun Thomas earned Big Ten co-Player of the Week honors after leading Ohio State to a pair of wins.

The junior forward scored 22 points and added seven rebounds, two steals, a block and an assist against Purdue. He followed the performance up by recording 20 points, four boards, an assist and a steal against the Wolverines.
