Stolen puppy returned to the Cleveland APL

An 8-week-old puppy stolen from the Cleveland Animal Protective League has been returned.

At approximately 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 12, the small, black Lab mix puppy named Lucy was stolen the adoption floor.

Sharon Harvey with the APL tells 19 Action News that Lucy was returned to the shelter on Friday morning. They do know who took the pup, but are not releasing that information at this time. Harvey says they are simply celebrating the fact that Lucy is back in their care, as the puppy has special medical needs.

At the time she was taken, a family was lined up to adopt Lucy.
