Akron Knocks Off KSU 71-67

Zeke Marshall and Demetrius Treadwell both had double-doubles to lead Akron past Kent State 71-67 on Saturday afternoon at KSU.

Marshall scored 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, Treadwell scored 15 and hauled in 17 boards. Chris Evans lead the Golden Flashes with 19 points.

Niether team shot well on the day. The Zips connected on only 37% of their attempts, the Flashes hit only 36%.

Akron improved to 13-4 with the win, Kent State falls to 11-7.
