BRIMFIELD, OH (WOIO) -

An adorable puppy left in a cardboard box on the side of a busy Brimfield highway is now available for adoption.

The puppy was found last month on Tallmadge Road near the Rootstown border.

The pup - a Jack Russell mix breed - is very young and deaf. Brimfield Police Chief David Oliver believes someone either bought the puppy or was given the puppy, but abandoned the pup after realizing she was deaf.

The puppy does very well mimicking the other dogs in her foster home, and is very high energy.
