Jazmine Trotter's family found the 20-year old's body days after she went missing.

Her body was in a hole behind an abandoned home. Now investigators want to know who murdered the woman on her way to work.

"We ask God to remove the pain and the broken hearts. To heal the broken hearts and to ease the pain," said Monique Williams, Jazmine's mother.

Dozens gathered in front of the abandoned house on E. 93rd street where family members found Jazmine's body.

Flowers, balloons and teddy bears are part of the memorial for the murder victim.  The outpouring of support from friends and neighbors left her mother overwhelmed.

"My daughter loved everybody and everybody loved my daughter. It's more than what I expected," said Monique Williams, Jazmine's mother.

The vigil for Jazmine began at 6 p.m. Monday evening.

"This is love. This ain't nothing but showing love. Jazmine had a lot of friends," said Kely Byers. "Everybody knows Jazmine was a loveable person. She didn't deserve this. She made you smile when you were down, she lifted you up."

Around 1:30 p.m. Sunday, police received a call for an unresponsive person at that location.  When EMS arrived, Trotter was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say Trotter had been reported missing on Friday by her boyfriend after he says she left for work, but never showed up.
