Woman's body is discovered on 93rd and Bessemer - Cleveland 19 News Cleveland, OH

4 DAYS APART: 2nd woman found dead in same neighborhood

Cleveland Police have another murder mystery on their hands.  Thursday, the body of a 45-year-old woman was found under the trees on a vacant lot on Bessemer and East 93rd Street.  A child made the discovery.

Cleveland Police say the 45-year-old woman had blunt force trauma to her head.  We are not identifying the victim until we get confirmation from the medical examiner.  The victim's family says she was last seen on Tuesday of last week.  She was reported missing last Thursday.

Those who knew her describe her as a heart-warming person who would give the clothes off her back to someone in need.

Thursday's discovery comes less than one week after the body of Jazmine Trotter was found on East 93rd, stuffed under the back porch of a vacant home.  Trotter had been missing for two days when she was found on Sunday.

The distance between the two discoveries is just over one mile.  Police say it's too soon to say whether the two crimes are connected.

"I feel unsafe. It's terrible. You know its unsafe everywhere but now we're just finding bodies. You don't know if its going to be your child, your next door neighbor, your grandmother. You don't know any more," said one female resident of the neighborhood.

No arrests have been made in either case.

The Cleveland Division of Police is asking that anyone with information in connection with either incident to contact the Homicide Unit at 216.623.5464.  Anonymous information can be given to Crime Stoppers by calling 216.252.7463 or Text messaging to Text TIP657 plus your message to Crimes (274637).
