Indians pitcher Brett Myers has been shut down for two weeks after being diagnosed with right elbow tendonitis and a mild UCL sprain. The right hander will be examined after the two week period to see if he can begin a throwing program.
Myers was placed on the 15-day DL on Sunday after complaining of elbow pain. He has made four appearances on the season, three of which have been poor. The 32 year old is 0-3 with an ERA of 8.02 on the year.
