Gladiators quarterback Brian Zbydniewski was named the AFL's Offensive Player of the Week.
Zbydniewski lead the Gladiators to their first win of the season last Saturday. Cleveland beat Philadelphia 64-57 in overtime.
In the win, the Cleveland QB went 24-of-33 for 316 yards and accounted for nine touchdowns; eight through the air and one rushing.
In four games so far this season, Zbydniewski has thrown for 1,103 yards (91-145; 275.8 yards/game) and 21 touchdowns. He has also rushed for an additional three TDs.
Zbydniewski is in his first year with Cleveland and his fourth in the AFL.
In addition, kicker Ross Gornall was awarded the AFL Highlight of the Week.
In Saturday's win over Philadelphia, Gornall made a 45-yard field goal as time expired in the fourth quarter to force overtime, eventually leading to Cleveland's first win of the season. The field goal was the first of the rookie's career.
