BEREA, OH (WOIO) - The Cleveland Browns have made its selection in the 2013 NFL Draft. The team took Barkevious Mingo from LSU. Mingo is an outside linebacker.
Barkevious Mingo is the ninth player selected by the Browns from Louisiana State University and first since defensive lineman Chase Pittman was drafted in the seventh round in 2007. Mingo joins defensive back Ken Konz as the only players from LSU selected by the Browns in the first round in 1951. Konz was chosen with the 14th overall pick.
Mingo joins Hall of Fame running back Jim Brown (1957) and tight end Kellen Winslow (2004) as the only players selected by the Browns with the sixth overall pick.
The second and third rounds of the 2013 NFL Draft will be held Friday, April 26, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The Browns currently have no selection in the second round and their next pick won't come until the third round, with #68 overall. The team forfeited its 2nd round pick after acquiring Josh Gordon last year.

- Fourth Round: 104th pick
- Fifth Round: 139th pick and 164th pick

Earlier in the evening, Kansas City selected Eric Fisher. Fisher is an offensive tackle from Central Michigan. He is the first player from the MAC Conference to be selected with the first overall pick in draft history.
The Jacksonville Jaguars took Luke Joekel, offensive tackle from Texas A&M, with the second pick.
The Oakland Raiders traded the third overall pick to the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins then selected Dion Jordan from Oregon. Jordan played outside linebacker for the Ducks.
The Philadelphia Eagles picked offensive tackle Lane Johnson from Oklahoma with the fourth pick.
The Detroit Lions took Ezekiel Ansah with the fifth pick. Ansah is a defensive end from BYU.
The Arizona Cardinals took Jonathan Cooper, a guard from North Carolina, with the seventh pick.
The Buffalo Bills traded the eighth pick to St Louis. The Rams selected Tavon Austin. Austin is a wide receiver from West Virginia.
The New York Jets selected cornerback Dee Milliner from Alabama with the ninth overall pick.
The Tennessee Titans rounded out the top ten by selecting guard Chance Warmack out of Alabama.
