NORTH RIDGEVILLE, OH (WOIO) -
A North Ridgeville police K9 is continuing to make progress after suffering a devastating injury during training.

Sinta injured his spinal cord during his routine training on April 16. He was given a grim prognosis from the vet - if he didn't get better within 48 hours he would have to be put down.

Sinta got better, and continues to amaze the staff at Animal Clinic Northview with his remarkable recovery.

Sinta is home and is improving daily. He is able to walk for about 6 or 7 minutes before needing a break. His balance and coordination remains off, but is improving slightly everyday.

The pup is responding very well to treatment. He still has a lot of work to do, and physical therapy is continuing.

Officers are very hopeful Sinta will be back to work in the future.
