The first administrative disciplinary charges are being issued to supervisors from last November's deadly police chase.
Cleveland Police chased a car with two people from Cleveland to East Cleveland. The 28-minute chase ended with officers firing 137 shots into the car, killing the driver, Timothy Russell and the passenger, Malissa Williams.
The shooting is still under review by the Cuyahoga County prosecutor, and the first internal disciplinary hearings will be held next month.
Six supervisors are likely to be hauled before the chief and six more before the safety director.
The chief can hand out punishment up to a 10 day suspension. The safety director hands out more serious punishment.
In total, 1 captain, 1 lieutenant, and 10 sergeants.
The actual disciplinary hearings have been set for the 3rd week of May.
