Mother charged for not controlling children

A mother has been indicted on felony charges for not controlling her two young children in downtown Cleveland.

Myra Shepherd has been indicted for child endangering, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Records show that Shepherd allowed her two children, 4, to ride their Big Wheel toys up and down a handicapped ramp inside the Tower City complex in March. Shepherd continued to allow her children to act unruly even after she had been warned.

According to police, Shepherd is also accused of throwing a tantrum and swearing at officers.

The police report shows the children have a foster parent, and police contacted her to take care of the children.

Court records show Shepherd has previously been convicted for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
