One would think that the conditions were perfect for a full house at Progressive Field for the Cleveland Indian's first pitch. With it being 78 degrees on a dollar dog Friday night in May, what could keep the crowd away?
Well one Indians' fan hit the nail on the head with just one word, "winning".
Anyone present could look around and see plenty of empty seats at the stadium.
That's been a problem for the Indians so far this season.
The Indians are dead last in the league in home attendance -- that's even with a home opener against the Yankees.
The Tribe's last winning season was in 2007.
Fans say the bottom line is that people want to see a winner and that no matter what kind of players they get, if they don't win, people aren't going to show up.
