Indians send Ezequiel Carrera to Columbus

After designating outfielder Ezequiel Carrera for assignment on Sunday, the Tribe sent him to Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday.  Carrera cleared waivers, which allowed the Tribe to send him down.

Carrera was originally claimed on waivers from Philadelphia on Thursday.

This is second stint with the Indians.  He didn't make the team out of spring training and was released.  The Phillies picked him up, but later waived him.

First baseman Mike McDade, who was released when the Indians picked up Carrera, was claimed by the White Sox.
