Tribe wins tight one, 8th win in last 9 games

Cleveland (WOIO) - The Indians have been tearing the cover off the ball for the past week, but on Tuesday night, they found a different way to win, pushing across only one run, but stifling the A's bats, as they won their second straight, and 8th in their last 9 games, 1-0 over Oakland at Progressive Field.

The lone run came on Yan Gomes' sacrifice fly in the 5th, which brought home Carlos Santana.

That was enough, as the Indians received another stellar start from Zach McCallister, who gave them seven and two-thirds of shutout baseball, giving up just five hits and striking out four.

Rich Hill finished the 8th, and Chris Perez came on in the 9th to record his 4th save.
