An 11:30 a.m. news conference is planned to announce more on the arrest in one of the most famous unsolved murders in Cleveland history. 19 Action News Reporter Ed Gallek was first to learn on Tuesday that a convicted sex offender was being held in the city jail for questioning in the murder of Gloria Pointer, 14. You can watch the press conference live on our web.

A few showers and t-storms this morning, but the bigger story of today will be the wind bringing temperatures into the low 80s.  Expect dry air to move in behind this system as this front moves through.  A pleasant end to the week will be us with some cooler air moving in on Friday.  I expect the weekend to start out dry, with the risk of showers and storms coming later Sunday.

TODAY:  Isolated showers and t-storms this morning, otherwise partly cloudy windy and warm.  High: 82  Wind: S at 15-25 mph

TONIGHT:  Partly cloudy.  Low: 53  Wind: W at 5-10 mph.

THURSDAY:  Partly cloudy and warm.  High: 80

Cleveland Police Officers involved in the rescue of Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight last week will be honored this evening at the monthly Police Union meeting.
This is scheduled to take place at 6pm at the CPD Union Hall, 1301 West 58th Street.
The meeting is not open to the public, but 19 Action News will have a crew there.
