Josh Cribbs signed a one-year deal with the Oakland Raiders, according to his agent. A source told 19 Action News Sports Director Tony Zarrella the deal is worth $1.5 million, but could go as high as $2.5 million with incentives.
Cribbs originally signed with the Browns as an undrafted free agent in 2005. He quickly became a star on special teams and a fan favorite. He appeared in three Pro Bowls while with the Browns.
Last year, Cribbs' role on offense was lessened. He caught only seven passes for 53 yards after a career-high in receptions with 41.
Cribbs visited with the Raiders, Jets, Giants and Lions last week and chose Oakland.
In March, it appeared Cribbs had a deal with the Cardinals, but failed a physical after having surgery on his knee. The two sides agreed to talk again once the knee healed, but Arizona drafted a return man in Tyrann Mathieu.
