72-year-old woman suspect in stabbing death

HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) -

Police say a 72-year-old woman has been charged in the stabbing death of a Cincinnati woman.

According to Hamilton Police, Delores Jackson, of Hamilton, was involved in an altercation with 56-year-old Diana Ross-Ray on Friday evening in the 500 block of Monument Street.

Just after 11 p.m., police responded to the address for reports of a stabbing. 

Upon arrival, they found Ross-Ray unresponsive and suffering from a puncture wound. Investigators say she was stabbed with a knife in the upper-torso.

She was transported to Ft. Hamilton Hospital where she was later pronounced dead. 

Jackson, who was undergoing testing at an area hospital, was officially released on Monday and taken to the Hamilton Police Department where she was charged with murder.
