Wanted: Reward offered for capture of sex offender

Take a good look at this week's fugitive of the week.

The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering a reward for information which would lead to the capture of fugitive Willard Wigfield.

Wigfield is wanted by the U.S. Marshals and the Lake County Sheriff's Office. 

He's wanted for rape of a child under the age of 15. 

Wigfield was on bond and scheduled to appear for his sentencing on Monday, July 8th, 2013.   Wigfield failed to appear for his sentencing and a warrant was issued for his arrest. 

As part of his conditions of bond, Wigfield had been wearing an electronic monitoring device around is ankle.

When Wigfield did not show up for court, authorities checked the location of the ankle monitor. 

The device was sending signals from the Tuscarawas River near New Philadelphia, OH. 

An extensive search of the river by local authorities failed to locate Wigfield or the device.  Wigfield has been on the run ever since with possible sightings in Florida. 

Wigfield is a 30-year-old man 5'07" and weighing 210 pounds.  He has brown hair and brown eyes.  Wigfield is believed to be hiding somewhere in Northern Ohio or Florida.  He also has a previous address near the 7700 block of Miami Rd. in Mentor-on-the-Lake, OH.
