Closing arguments are underway in the trial of the woman accused of using antifreeze to kill her boyfriend

Between July 26, 2006, and July 30, 2006, Holly McFeeture, 35, allegedly poisoned her boyfriend Matthew Podolak, 31, with antifreeze at their home located on Archmere Avenue in Cleveland.

They lived with their two children, ages two years old and five months old, and an eight-year-old child from McFeeture's previous relationship.

In July 2006, Podolak began experiencing lower back pain and went to the doctor where he was treated for kidney stones. On July 30, 2006, Podolak was transported to the hospital in pain. His condition deteriorated. He was in extreme pain, disoriented, and vomiting. Podolak died the following day.

His death was ruled a homicide after additional evidence was obtained by Cleveland Police. McFeeture was arrested July 26, 2012 and released on bond August 7, 2012.
